Random Observation

The 3rd week of the Trimester 1 kicks in..
Campus life is beginning to pick up the pace.
The concourse area is so crowded, with various clubs try to pull new members.
So many ppl around, engaged in their own activities.
No wonder the campus seems so crowded nowadays.
No wonder there are more and more classes with weird timing and venues.
No wonder the Alpha IT and Alpha Engineering will be moving to CyberJaya by end of this year.
No wonder there is alwiz no parking place when u need one.
The list goes on..

Was glancing around at all the different faces in the crowd at concourse area..
Trying to see if can distinguish between new students and the senior students..

Based on observation*:
*disclaimer: based on random observation and generalization, statement may not be 100% accurate :)

A person is a Fresh Student if he or she:

1) calls the lecturer "teacher, teacher" or instead of "sir,madam".
2) raise up hand and announce to the lecturer (and class) that he or she needs to go to the loo.
3) prints out the subject course info & outline and diligently studies them in library corner.
4) wears a long sleeve shirt and slacks with black shoes to class. (for the guys)
5) wears very decent outfit to class. (for the gals)
6) has eyes that are big and shiny coz they are innocent. (errr, ok , i made that up :P)
7) has mouth that never seem to close coz they are awed by MMU. (obviously, i made that up...)
8) comes and ask you on how to register and PAY for a hotmail account. (Allrite!This is TRUE, a student asked me on that)
9) extremely talkative. (noisy)
10) talks on the phone with mum every night.

Enough said of the new green students, below are the traits of the Old Ones (Senior students)...

1) they are nocturnal creatures: awake at night, hibernates during the day
2) they are nocturnal creatures: they feed most at night (supper, yum yum)
3) they are nocturnal creatures: they hunt and play most active at night (sports, movies, etc)
4) they went for a toilet break during classes and never came back.
5) during classes, they are able to detach their mind and soul from their body. (sleeping, daydreaming)
6) they are looking for a girlfriend or boyfriend before they graduate. (if current status is single)
7) they come to class with short and slippers.
8) they only start printing out the subject notes few days before the examination.
9) they know where is the best makan places in town (Malacca).
10) they fell in love with Malacca and want to stay in Malacca.

Miscommunication

CADP Dinner

MMU CADP (Diploma Programme) dinner at Century Mahkota Hotel.
Food was unexpectedly good!
Ranging from sotong, fish, steak, satay, sup cendawan, even crabs! *buffet*
Justified the price of 65 bucks / person. (*MMU club fees*) ^_^
Games and lucky draw follows after dinner.
Got a multi-features telephone for lucky draw :) (no, not handphone though)

Weekends

Went to singapore during d weekends.
There is big sale goin on all around singapore.
The whole weekend was spent going around the City with sweetheart.
She bought some stuff , girl stuff.
Me, i bought a bass EFX. It was so cool, love at 1st sight so i bought it! Actually i was looking for an efx for some time d..
Anyway..

Expecially luv the auto-wah, put some funky slap and it sounds pretty awesome :)

Will go down to jb and singapore again this coming weekend.
Friend's sisters wedding at JB.
Then wana drop by singapore c sweetheart again.

24.should keep lectures short and simple. so that student will not be bored. long slides will make student bored and hard to understand. (right right, its NOT my fault if YOU SLEPT in my class!)

A : lasso tool is a tool to lasso
(yeah correct!... huh?!...ehh.. wait a minute...)

2nd place:
Q: Give 3 disadvantages of computer-based digital video.

A: - digital video causes people to download movies, cinema close down (err..okaayyyy..)
- need high bandwidth (yap!! you are on the right track!)
- encourage wide spread of porn. (WAT THE!!??)

1st place:
Q: The testing stage of Multimedia development has two phases: Alpha Testing and Beta Testing. Explain the differences.

A: Alpha Testing is test taken by alpha students and Beta Testing is test taken by beta students! (Heck!! Gotta respect such CREATIVE *desperate* answer!!)

Semester Begins

After a short while of quiet semester break...
Then, the Registration Day..
Then 1 week of noisy orientation...
Finally...
New trimester begins!!
Trimester 1!
Went for my first 2 lectures.
The students (the new intakes) are very very quiet like mouse. Wide eyed! Full of hope.
Lecture halls are packed. Guess it wont last for long though as the corruption from seniors starts to creep on them.
Nevertheless, everything went pretty smooth, thank God :)

MMU CF - IF camp

The MMU CF camp was refreshing to say the least.
Met with some familiar faces from the CyberJaya gang and more not-so-familiar guys of the Cyber Clan.
Nevertheless its good and fun knwing all of them, and also get closer to the malaccan mmu cfers as well.
